People often question, sometimes while in tears, how Creator (or God, or All Mighty, or Lord, or Allah, or …) can allow all the atrocities and sufferings to take place in our world. How is it possible that Creator, if exists, allows all those horrible things to happen? ... Well, most likely the simplest answer would be: He does not know that we suffer; does not have even slightest idea.
Why? Let’s think for a moment. When we do something on our computers, like working on spreadsheets or writing a document, do we think that numbers are suffering when being subtracted one from another, or having joy when added together? Does letter suffer and die in agony when being overwritten as we correct a typo? What about genocide of all of those letters which were used to construct words in the paragraph that we just deleted and replaced with some other text? We (humans) created this computer, we created that spreadsheet or document; we started typing there; we put those numbers into the spreadsheet; we mistyped something and need to correct our error. Do we know or care what those numbers and letters experience? I did not think about this until recent times. Most likely you did not think about this either. So, why should our Creator?
Another thought here; our holly books tell us that we were created in God’s image. If we accept that, we should presume that our Creator was good at what he was doing, which means that we exhibit resemblance to our Creator inside and out. So, if we behave the way we do relatively to our peers and our creations, why would we expect our Creator to act any different relatively to his world or creations (us)? Depressing, right?
