The idea of enlightenment, or accruing worldly knowledge and freedom from desires, ambitions, and associated pain of a soul and a body, has been cultivated by humanity since the early ages. For a few thousand years, Hinduism and Buddhism have been teaching the ways of meditation and freeing one from the earthy attachments. The idea that we are a part of something bigger and more significant has been part of humanity throughout history.
In "The Class", the programs created by students were self-propagating, alive, but they were not intelligent. The major issue for those programs was that they were all running on the same processor. Our computers are very different from the "computer" controlled by the Creator. As mentioned previously, the "construction" of the Creator and his universe is as much different from ours and our universe, as humans and our world are different from the programs and computer hardware we create. The species living on the planet Earth seem to be able to construct their own processors – the nervous system and brain. The question here is whether the processing done by our brain is independent or if it channels information into something bigger.
Human made information systems are not necessarily attached to a single processor. There are multiprocessor systems as well as distributed processing systems. The first configuration implies a single unit with multiple processors running in unison, while the second one consists of independent units executing their own tasks while at the same time performing work for some other shared purpose. Are our brains completely dedicated to ourselves, or is every living being here on Earth part of some outer "computing" system. Do we actually process data the way we think we do, or is the information exchanged with some outer, invisible-by-us entity? There are studies telling us that different species use different percentages of their brains. However, it seems as though no one uses more than 20 percent (dolphins are the kings in this respect). Remember our conversation about "reserves" of the human brain to use in case of the "emergent unexpectedness of life"? Is this the purpose? Or is it for some "distributed computing" performed by the computer of our Creator? When we have headaches for no obvious reason, is it because of our health issues or is it because the "reserved" area of our brains is executing some heavy external task that we have no access to? Wait! Were we seeded to execute the distributed computing algorithm of the Creator's computer system?
It is obvious that there are many ways in which humans can be used by the Creator to achieve his goals. We are not here to contradict the Maker; if we try, our "angels and demons" will quickly correct the situation. What we probably can try to do is to enlighten ourselves by trying to tap into our own lines of communication with the coordinating entity, whatever that might be. There is a reason why Hinduism, Buddhism, and Yoga teach body control and detachment from usual human desires. The ability to control the responses of one's nervous system as well as other usually uncontrollable bodily functions, achieved by advanced Yoga practitioners, are a reasonable path to train one's brain to access the "reserved" resources. Those can give access to informational channels usually unreachable by humans. When a person is able to disconnect distractions caused by interactions with the common environment, and maintain direct deliberate control over individual elements of the body, his or her abilities to access usually restricted areas of the brain can presumably open access to more advanced zones where outer (not directly perceived by the person) information is being processed and communicated. Access to those channels and observed information provide further enlightenment to the achiever. It appears that the ability to open those "reserves" is somewhat trainable. For some it is achieved more easily, for others not so much. Also, it seems that this ability is not transferable during propagation, but rather must be achieved by each individual during one's lifetime.
It is really amazing that ancient human cultures and religions like Hinduism and Buddhism already knew about a human ability to access these super-human states of mind. It is open for speculation how exactly they obtained this information. They also managed to develop a pathway for reaching enlightenment (nirvana) via meditation and body-mind exercises like Yoga. The fact that not many of us are inclined to take the path tells much about the barbaric state of our souls. It also signals, that the Creator wants to keep those hyper communication channels and super brain processing power available for his use. We are just self-evolving programs running on his computer and performing the tasks delegated to us.
